Kevin Lange founded Legacy One Financial Advisors as an independent RIA in 2017. Kevin has served as a trusted advisor for over 20 years, helping clients determine personal goals and execute on plans to achieve them. Kevin’s philosophy is to understand each client’s unique needs and to provide them support on their best and worst days. He has the experience and depth of knowledge to guide clients through important financial decisions in an enjoyable manner, with ease.Outside of the office, Kevin enjoys spending quality time, laughing with his wife and children. He is grounded in his ambition to inspire and enable others to achieve more than they envision alone.
Bert Foster, co-founder of Legacy One, has always had a very simple guiding principle: be the best at what you love. At age 28, Bert earned the CFP® certification and obtained the appropriate licenses needed to serve his clients well. Since then, he has helped numerous clients limit their debt, increase cash flow, reduce tax burdens, and manage their wealth. Bert believes that when people spend their lives working hard, they shouldn’t have to worry about retirement.
Bert attended New Mexico Military Institute as a Falcon Scholar and was nominated and appointed to the US Air Force Academy. He then studied Spanish and finance at St. Edward’s University, graduating magna cum laude with the School of Business Scholar’s Award.
Bert resides in Georgetown, TX with his wife Melissa and twins Allison and Braden. In his leisure time he enjoys fly fishing, bird hunting, golfing, coaching youth baseball and spending time with his family. Even with his busy schedule, Bert makes sure he starts every single day with snuggle time and breakfast with his twins.

Dick became CEO in 2014 after spending the previous thirty-three years building and growing a successful business in Austin. Dick’s focus is on maintaining and enhancing the firm’s long history and culture of world-class client service, ensuring that exceeding client expectations remains the firm’s core value. This is the firm’s driving force in all of our client relationships, and recognizing this culture as our most important asset keeps our focus on helping clients with their wealth management and financial life planning.
Dick works with the team of professional advisors and client service managers to achieve the principle objective of maximizing clients’ assets over the long term. He is also involved in business development initiatives to ensure that Legacy One can offer multiple services to clients to strengthen their financial position and deepen the relationship with the firm and its partners.
A lifelong Texan, Dick has lived in Austin since 1981. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren, serves on the board of the Austin YMCA, is active in his church, and enjoys traveling and getting on the golf course as often as possible.
Suzanne joined Legacy One Financial Advisors in 2017. As our Accounting and HR Manager Suzanne handles a myriad of back office tasks that allow our high-caliber advisors and staff to focus on serving our clients. Suzanne has a knack for administration and sees her role as one of improving internal efficiencies. Suzanne hails from the Chicago area where she has held similar roles in the financial services industry.
Suzanne graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a B.A. in Marketing. She also earned a Masters of Management (MBA) from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business. Additionally, Suzanne has her SHRM-CP certification.
As a transplant to Austin, Suzanne, along with her husband and four children, are enjoying getting involved in their new church and community. In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys running, cooking and watching college and pro football and basketball with her family.
Jon became Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) in 2018 after spending 21 years as the Chief Compliance Officer of Halbert Wealth Management, another SEC registered Investment Advisor located in Austin, TX. As CCO of Legacy One Financial Advisors, Jon is responsible for ensuring the firm stays in compliance with all the applicable regulatory requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission as well as other relevant regulatory agencies. This includes the ongoing filing requirements, as well as developing, reviewing and supervising the processes and procedures necessary to comply with regulations.
Jon’s other experience includes serving as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Sterling Trust Company.
Jon has been in Austin over 20 years and enjoys boating on Lake Travis, working out and practicing yoga in his spare time.
